Engineering Workstations (EWS)


In response to Gov. Pritzker's Executive Order for Illinois residents to 'shelter in place', all EWS Labs are currently closed until further notice.

Our physical Help Desk locations are closed for walk-in traffic until further notice. Remote assistance is available, or you can schedule an appointment for on-site support by calling (217) 333-1313 or emailing engrit-help [at]

The Engineering WorkStation (EWS) labs currently include over 1,400 workstations and serve over 19,000 students taking Engineering courses. EWS provides high performance, highly reliable instructional computing resources for the students and faculty of the College of Engineering.

For assistance with any EWS resource, please e-mail ews [at] or call the Engineering IT Help Desk at 217-333-1313 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., M-F (during the summer, the Help Desk is closed over the 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.  lunch hour).
